Cross Hills FC was recently targeted by vandals who destroyed goalposts, the CCTV system and broke into the clubhouse. We estimate it will cost around £1,500 to replace the items.
We are a small, friendly community club with two teams in the Craven League. While it may not seem like a lot of money, to a club our size it's a huge sum.
So any support (no matter how small), would be hugely appreciated.
UPDATE
Thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign so far. We're really chuffed to have raised so much so quickly.
I have been asked by GoFundMe to update the page with the following points.
My name is Matt Cornish, and I'm the former editor of the Craven Herald. I live in Skipton, and I am a friend of Cross Hills FC club member Sam Smith. I offered to create this page for him to help the club out after the vandalism attack.
The money raised will go towards replacement goalposts, a CCTV system and improved security at the club.
I have made Steve Birch, club treasurer, the sole beneficiary of the page - so all withdrawals can be dealt with by the club directly.
Once again, thank you to everyone for your support so far.
