Mias Christmas wish

Hi. Most of you will probably know me. I'm kym but this isn't about me, this is about my ginger queen Mia. Mia is my best friend who I spent every day for the last 8 years loving more than I thought my heart was capable of. I rescued her when she was 7 and she gave my life purpose again. Mia had a rough life before me and only a few years into being in her furever home she was diagnosed with cancer. But with all our friends and family support she had surgery and fought with every ounce of energy to get more years on the sofa. During her first battle with cancer we found that Mia suffered from an enlarged heart and arthritis but despite this she never went a day without her cheeky smile and wagging tail! Unfortunately we only got a couple of years until the cancer had come back, only this time we didn't have choices so Mia began her palliative care. But during this she still smiled every day! But her favourite day was Christmas!! Christmas for her meant snuggles in bed and eggs for breakfast, before ripping into presents and finding treats in her stocking, Christmas day walks visiting her favourite people and getting more presents obviously! Every year she saw Santa and this year was planned to be exactly how she loved it. Only my best friend got tired and despite trying so hard she just couldn't fight anymore. A month ago now I had to let my baby rest and my heart shattered in a way that will never repair. But she wouldn't want to see Christmas any different so this year I am honouring my ginger queen by spending Christmas at the local rescue centre full of souls without sofas. Mia would want other rescue dogs to know what Christmas is meant to be so I'll be walking, giving their Christmas dinners, cleaning their kennels and spending Christmas giving them presents to tear into! So I'm hoping you will join me in honouring Mia's life by making sure each and every waggy tail in the rescue gets their gift from Mia. Every penny contributed to this will be spent on their Christmas presents and any left over funds will go towards their feed, vet bills and bedding. I would give up everything for one more Christmas spoiling my girl but instead I'm gonna spoil her friends.
Thank you from me, Mia and Laia.
