Sure Space is an artist-run space and community platform. We just hit our one-year mark and have proudly produced over 10+ solo exhibitions for local emerging artists. We’re raising money to transform this into a self-sustainable space. 100% of donations will go to keeping the space alive as well as upcoming exhibition programming, and community events.
Our mission is to provide artists and creatives the opportunity to produce and exhibit their work at no cost to the artist. As artists ourselves, we understand the financial barriers that exist when creating and showcasing artwork. We want to create a space that is FREE of fees for entry, exhibiting, installation, and marketing. We are interested in the collaboration between curator and artist and promise to provide a supportive environment for your creative practice. We are located in the Como neighborhood of Minneapolis; our space is easily accessible by bus, at street-level, and open to all. We seek to cultivate experimental and boundary-pushing initiatives in the Twin Cities. Let’s make waves, together. We prioritize and uplift underrepresented artists and historically marginalized folx.
Every contribution counts! This fundraiser is ongoing and our main goal at the moment is to continue paying our monthly rent and keep this space alive. Funds will also be used for maintenance, promotional materials, installation supplies, and producing these events. In the future, we hope to make some slight renovations to have access to a bathroom inside the space.
