The Critter Corral Guinea Pig Fall Fundraiser

Simon, the guinea pig, ran and hid in the long sleeve sweatshirt of a young blonde-haired girl on a cold morning on January 2, 2016 when he was 6 months old. After the girl's family reassured The Critter Corral staff that Simon would be loved and cared for, his adoption took place and he journeyed in the backseat of a station wagon to his forever home in Springfield, Illinois. Simon went on to contribute to the dental care of guinea pigs in exotic veterinary journals across the world.

Like so many guinea pigs before him, Simon found his forever home with the help of The Critter Corral Guinea Pig Rescue.  Our rescue provides food and medical care to guinea pigs that are either relinquished or come from neglected and abused situations like the one Simon came from. We provide love and care to these animals as we carefully screen for loving, permanent homes.

Our group of volunteers work in conjunction with other non-profits and respond to calls each year assisting neglected and abused guinea pigs. These efforts are made possible through donations from individuals like you. We are based out of Highland, Lake County, Indiana and provide services in the States of Illinois and Indiana.
