February 15, 2024:
Family and friends, it is with great sadness that we share the passing of our sweet little Aidan. I’m so sorry that you will hear the news this way. Rosie, Alfonso, Aubrey, Aaliyah and Christian want to thank everyone for your incredible support. Their little boy was a warrior and fought so hard to stay with us. Aidan's grit and determination to survive inspired us all. He taught us about perseverance and love, at only 15 months old.

The Razos have elected to donate Aidan's organs. Aidan's final journey to his life-saving mission in the operating room will occur on Sunday, February 18, 2024.

We are grateful for your support of this special family. We have redirected our efforts and are now raising money to alleviate the financial burden of funeral costs.

Our kids play sports together. That is how we are all connected. By chance. Those chance encounters become life long friendships because we invest in each other and love freely. I am often reminded how special the softball community is, and TGS is the benchmark. Thank you for being a part of our community and answering the call when one of us are in need.

Please pray for the Razo family. CHOC will raise a flag on Sunday to honor Aidan's sacrifice. May his legacy live on through his life-saving gifts. May we always remember his smile and his joy.

Information regarding services will be forthcoming. If you are able to donate, please do.

January 11, 2024:
My name is Wendy Joe. I have had the privilege of serving on the board of Tustin Girls Softball since 2016. During that time, our softball family has grown tremendously, which has led to many opportunities for providing support to the people around us. The people in our community are a blessing to our organization, and at this time, we are asking you to help one of our own.

On Tuesday, January 9th, little Aidan Razo was at home watching Toy Story and suddenly had a seizure while in his grandmother’s arms. Within seconds he went into cardiac arrest. His uncle started CPR and his 14-year old big sister Aubrey called 911. Aidan was rushed to CHOC via ambulance where his heartbeat was restored and his fight to survive began.

We have no answers as to what caused the seizure. Until one week ago, Aidan was a healthy baby boy who spent all of his time at the softball field being held and doted on by all of his big sisters’ teammates. Aidan loves to swing a bat like his siblings and is already waiting for his turn to play. His favorite movie is Toy Story and he loves Buzz Lightyear. He giggles when he wrestles with his big brother, Christian, and has a passion for eating. Aidan’s smile and charm melts hearts and makes him a special addition to our softball family.

This tragedy is unimaginable, but Aidan has proven to be quite the little fighter. He is currently breathing over his ventilator and showing his doctors that he wants to survive. His parents, Rosie and Alfonso are by his side, praying and supporting him while his little body fights.

Aidan’s fight is minute to minute and day by day. At this moment, we know we need to keep Rosie and Alfonso supported so they can continue the impossible task of keeping their other three children physically and emotionally cared for while balancing being at Aidan’s bedside. Our immediate goal is to minimize their worry. As parents, we can all imagine how our own own families would cope during a similar tragedy.

You all know the Razos. The girls have played at TGS since 2020. Rosie has made the socks, shirts and bows for so many of our teams via her "Crafts Inspired by You" small business. Big sister Aubrey is a staple in our snack bar and all our girls look up to her. Alfonso is always throwing soft toss to one of his kids mid-field or prepping a field for a game. We are asking our TGS community to support a member of our softball family.

If you cannot give monetarily, we ask that you pray. This family believes in the power of prayer. There are 3x5 cards with hand written prayers taped to the walls in the ICU. Buzz Lightyear and plush super heroes sit in Aidan’s hospital bed with him. There are family photos taped to the walls near the family’s pull out bed in Aidan’s room. Prayer, faith, family, and friends are our lifeline. Together we will lift this family up and give this baby boy the will and support to continue his fight.
