Update: Amelia has entered the glory of our Lord. We miss our beautiful baby. It's the toughest thing we have ever confronted in life. However, we know she's no longer in distress and she will live eternally: someday I'll see you again my sweet girl. Please help us in this devastating time to get Amelia transferred to our hometown to give a wonderful funeral and burial to Amelia and help us as we recover from grief over the next couple of months.
On January 5, 2026, our baby Amelia was born lifeless and was resuscitated. She was born with abnormalities such as a severe heart defect, brain injury, fragile lungs, and a diaphragm hernia. Our baby, only days old, was diagnosed with trisomy 18, a fatal condition. She's a living miracle at this point in her life and has endured lots of painful procedures. She has lived in the NICU for 4 months in a city 3 hours away from our hometown. Our family of 7 stayed by her side at all times to make critical decisions for our baby and live in a hotel to be close to her. Because of all this, we couldn't have a stable job to provide for our family's needs, meals, and bills. Living all these months far from home, our home is at risk of foreclosure this month due to past payments. We have many debts because we couldn't pay our monthly bills and our family is facing this hard situation. We are on the brink of losing everything. We have 5 other beautiful children to care for and this has been the hardest crisis we face. Please help us secure our living just as we can get back on our feet and Amelia can come home. We have been worried, anxious, and emotionally distressed. We have faced lots of pain and difficult times as we help Amelia fight for her life.
Update: Today, Amelia has entered respiratory failure and heart failure. We are broken and praying for the will of God to be done. We are crushed to know our baby will leave us and be home for eternity with our Lord and her sibling Zion. We need all the help and comfort during this moment. God bless you greatly.
