Most of you know me as Sarah Nybo, friend or family. Others know me as Shannon Nybo’s sister or Michael and Jeanne Nybo’s daughter. I currently live in Blaine Wa with my boys, Daxton and Preston and long time boyfriend Jeremiah Taylor.
Nov 2nd specialists at the UWMC in Seattle diagnosed me to have a spontaneous CSF leak (cerebral spinal fluid). This occurs when the CSF leaks through a defect in the skull through the nose. It is believed to be caused by underlying and untreated pressure in the brain fluid.
The specialists indicated urgency in surgical repair to decrease headaches and chance of meningitis. My surgery is scheduled for Nov 24th with a hospital stay anywhere from 3-6 days. My home recovery will have strict limits on daily activities for 4-6 weeks.
My boys depend on me for all their life needs and days of home education. Preston also with autism depends on me for additional needs. Their father Jeremiah will be unable to work to assume my role for my boys and assist in my recovery. This will decrease our income and increase medical bills.
My parents, sister or I plan to update you on my experiences as needed.
