Hi, my name is Nicole and I'm raising funds for my best friend, Amanda. She went in for a routine surgery on 9/13 that would restore her chances of getting pregnant and starting a healthy family. She was released to recover at home and all seemed well. What should have been only a 2-week recovery, led to complications that resulted in two more surgeries, sepsis, and now she's in critical health in the hospital with an unknown release date.

She's always been a tough cookie who has pulled through when life gets hard. I witnessed this when she planned a wedding with Orane (her now husband), and due to COVID their wedding plans were ruined only months before they were to walk down the aisle. Orane waited patiently in Jamaica, and Amanda in the US, until borders were reopened and Orane could find a way back to the US to finally marry his bride-to-be.

Now the newlyweds are facing this medical emergency and need your help. Amanda’s job is at risk because she doesn’t have any more sick time or paid time off, so as a result, bills are piling up in addition to growing medical bills, and it’s more than Orane can take on alone.
