Critical Fundraiser for Animals of Sierra Nevada of Colombia

Hi, my name is Viktoria. I am a Colombian Indigenous woman, linguist and teacher, and the founder of Kunduna Kunguashi, a natural sanctuary dedicated to preserving the biodiversity and Indigenous culture of the Sierra Nevada of Colombia. I am reaching out with an urgent request to support the animals of this beautiful region, who are in dire need of care and attention. Many dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens in Sierra Nevada suffer from neglect and preventable illnesses. With your help, we can transform the lives for many dogs, puppies, cats and kittens that are welcoming all travelers on their trek to the Lost City and surrounding area.

Our Mission

In cooperation with veterinarians, we have made a plan and the necessities for curing and preventing most illnesses we have observed in the animals. The most common are parasites in puppies and adult dogs, untreated wounds, and infections.

How Your Contribution Will Help

The money will be used to regularly buy medication, including deworming medication (Milpro, Milbemax), that puppies under 6 months old are treated with monthly, and adults dogs every 3 or 6 months. Other medication includes antibiotics (Amoxicillin) and painkillers containing Acetaminophen, for dogs with wounds. With the hopes of a successful fundraiser we could include mules to get the treatment they need. The harders workers of Siera Nevada who often have wounds.

Soy una mujer indígena colombiana, lingüista y docente, y fundadora de Kunduna Kunguashi, un santuario natural dedicado a preservar la biodiversidad y la cultura indígena de la Sierra Nevada de Colombia. Me pongo en contacto con una solicitud urgente para apoyar a los animales de esta hermosa región, que están en extrema necesidad de cuidado y atención. Muchos perros, cachorros, gatos y gatitos en la Sierra Nevada sufren de abandono y enfermedades prevenibles. Con tu ayuda, podemos transformar la vida de muchos perros, cachorros, gatos y gatitos que dan la bienvenida a todos los viajeros en su caminata hacia la Ciudad Perdida y sus alrededores.

Nuestra Misión

Cómo Ayudará tu Contribución

El dinero se utilizará para comprar regularmente medicamentos, incluyendo desparasitantes (Milpro, Milbemax), que se administran mensualmente a los cachorros menores de 6 meses, y a los perros adultos cada 3 o 6 meses. Otros medicamentos incluyen antibióticos (Amoxicilina) y analgésicos que contienen Acetaminofén, para perros con heridas. Con la esperanza de un recaudo exitoso, también podríamos incluir a las mulas para que reciban el tratamiento que necesitan. Los trabajadores más arduos de la Sierra Nevada que a menudo tienen heridas.
