Cristy is a young wife and mother fighting for life right now. She has a tumor on her brain, the size of a small orange, that will be removed Tuesday. The surgery has a 95% success rate and with the grace of God she'll recover 100% and be back to her spunky, over the top, outgoing, and loving self. The road to revocery is going to be long and emotional and I am sure even with the best insuranace, expensive. I am setting up this gofundme account to help cover some of Cristy's medical and recovery expenses. Please share this and PRAY, anything helps. THANK YOU - our family needs prayers, love and support.
I will post a picture if possible in the comments below.
Here is a note from my brother, Robert, Cristy's husband..
Those of you that know me know that I do not like to post personal items on FB but i felt it was time to share what is happening in our lives at the moment. To get those of you that haven't already heard up to date. The love of my life and my best friend, Cristy Santangelo-Verant, went to the emergency room for what we thought was a kidney infection on this last Tuesday. After a lot of testing and a CT Scan she was diagnosed with what the doc thinks is a benign brain tumor (they can't be sure until they get a tissue same) the size of a small orange. Amazingly, she is fully functioning and mobile other than the headaches and some slight cognitive issues. I wanted to share this because this MRI picture has changed our lives forever and was completely unexpected. My outlook on life has been forever changed and my eyes have been opened to to the true meaning of life. Which for me, is the connection we have with our family, friends and the community we live in. Nothing (including your phone) is more important than the people who love you no matter what.
Please take a moment to give your loved ones a bug hug and tell them how much you love them!
I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation and love to all you that have already reached out to us offering help and support. You have no idea how much it has meant to the both of us.
Cristy will be going in for surgery next Tuesday to remove the tumor and the doc's say there is over a 95% success rate for this type of procedure. We have a long road ahead of us but are derimined to get through this. We are staying positive and trying to spread love and joy in any way we can. This MRI may be hard to see but I felt it was important to share so people understand what she is up against. I love you all, thank you!
