Cristopher Astin Medical and Family Fund

The day after celebrating his 45th birthday, my brother Cristopher Astin was critically injured falling from a ladder. Since July 5th, he has been in the ICU in Boise in critical condition. He is currently in a coma and intubated to help him breath. He has a broken clavicle, multiple rib fractures that will need stabilized through surgery, a collapsed lung, and bruising on the temporal and frontal lobes of his brain. In a twist of fate, he is being treated in the very unit he works. Cris has spent years as a critical care nurse helping those on ventilators and ECMO machines. His coworkers are watching over him. We don’t know what the future holds, but we know this will be a long recovery, and unfortunately, he won’t be able to work for a long time. His family of five will need lots of love and help.
