A month ago, my sister Cristina was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes. As a young mom and loving wife, this diagnosis has come out of nowhere, as it does for so many. Cristina’s diagnosis carries not only an enormously heavy weight emotionally, but financially as well. Coupled with the current Covid-19 pandemic, she and her husband are not able to work and must stay isolated from friends and family in fear of getting sick while she’s more vulnerable due to the Chemotherapy. Cristina has a long road ahead, facing chemo, surgery, and then radiation. With your help, the financial worry can be eased so that she can focus on the journey of winning the battle against this terrible disease.
