Hi. 

Only a week to go till we are having our fundraising night, I hope you can get there to enjoy it with us.  

Some of you may know or may not know but my wife Ruth has been fighting cancer for the last 6 years, with me beside her helping her through it.

Last year another tumour had returned and needed to be removed. After that there was 30 rounds of radiotherapy every day for 6 weeks with weekends off.

The radiotherapy has caused Ruth to suffer with lymphoedema which means fluid builds up in her leg and groin and doesn't drain. Sadly there is no cure for this condition and Ruth is having to go to Christies once a week for treatment probably for the next 2 years.

One of the treatments is going in trousers that inflate and deflate to massage her legs and get the circulation moving. We have bought this device ourselves for use at home but christies only have 2 machines that are in constant use.

We want to raise enough money to buy them another one of these machines so that people that have suffered with cancer and gone through treatment have the best chance of gaining a liveable life again.

Any donations will not only be appreciated by us but by probably thousands of people who get the chance to use these to get back to maintaining a normal lifestyle.
