Lately, that hasn’t been the case. Christian has been diagnosed with stage 4 Cancer in the lower intestine in early June. Public healthcare in Guatemala is in crisis. Loans have been taken out and all resources have been exhausted. We would not ask for your help if it weren’t absolutely necessary and it is our last option.
The treatment is taking place in Guatemala, please find a breakdown of the cost below:
Surgery to remove tumor from intestine: 60,000.00 Quetzales/ US. $8,225.04
Chemotherapy, 6 sessions: 30,000.00 Quetzales/ US.$4,112.52
We are a group of friends who are helping cover his living expenses through our own means, we need help to cover the life saving treatments. We are happy to answer any questions you might have or any advice you might give us, since Guatemala’s healthcare system is in a state of crisis.
Christian has been there for his loved ones and for strangers who have needed a hand. As a parent, I dread not being able to be there for my children’s birthday, graduation, marriage or just being there for those small moments in life. We really appreciate your time in reading our campaign letter.
We understand if you can’t help us financially, but we ask that you help us share this page with your friends and any organizations that could help us in any way. We love our friend dearly & we want him around a lot longer.
