6.2 million people in Somali are affected by the food shortage and deepening drought. In just 2 days 110 people, most of them children and women, have died from starvation and drought related illness in just a singe region. The country has declared the drought a national disaster. After two season of poor rainfall the country is in need of immediate resources and relief. The crops have been completely wiped out and all their livestock is dead.
