Corinne Marx (Albanese) Cancer Fund

i guess my story started when my best friend was
diagnosed with a rare type of panreatic cancer.So rare that Corrine has been recommended to the Pittsburgh University medical centerg. The ride out there this past week proved to be painful,tiring,and  long for a woman who had just recieved her diagnose on July 15 of this year. the doctors here in NJ are unable to provide the neccasary surgery (Sugar baker Surgery) because it is somewhat controversial and  it is only performed in a few states in the country. Any donations made to this campaign will be used for Corrines medical and prescription co-pays, along with the many travel expenses she has already begun to incur. Corrine has three children and has raised them as a single mom, always struggling to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. the biggest problem i believe that she will be running into, other than her illness of course will be keeping that roof over their heads. her landlord just announced that her lease is up for renewal and that also, the rent will be rising. corrine will be leaving for pittsburgh again sometime before September 28 as. She will hopefully be undergoing this 10 hour surger which will keep her in pittsburgh for approx. 5-7 weeks. In the meantime, her daughter is still attending high school, i will be with the kids for moral support  Corrine has been a resident of point pleasant and point pleasant beach upwards of 20 years. She hs taken many of her kids friends in when they had no place to go, these same kids still will pop in to say hi, how are you, and Corrine will drop whatever she is doing so that she may give them her undivided attention and a few words of wisdom.we are trying to collect some funds by the time Corrinne leaves for pittsburgh so that we can be sure her utilitis are paid, her rent is paid and so that her kids have meals in the house.
This campaign means so much to me because from the day i met her and her children, i have loved this family like no other. Corrine was always a full time worker from home.Corinne hasn't had a car to call her own in inapproximately 4 years.
So, please, this campaign is so important to me as i would just love for corrine to be able to go to Pittsburgh, stay positive, and most of all, fight for herself just as she has always done for others!Thankyou to all who can be of some help !
