Crimson's Recovery
Donation protected
On November 27th, 2023, Crimson Lexus Lee was born to Emmy & Cody Lee. Crimson was a perfect, healthy baby girl, and friends and family were elated about the newest addition to the Lee family. Crimson came home and was celebrated throughout the holidays by friends and family everywhere. Nearly everyone who knows Cody & Emmy knows how excited they were for their first child.
The week of January 7th, 2024, Crimson started to show signs of illness. Over three days, Emmy took her daughter to urgent care twice and two different emergency rooms. On January 10th, 2024, Crimson received a diagnosis of Group B Strep Meningitis and was admitted to the hospital for treatment. Group B Strep diagnosis typically means a hospital stay of approximately 10-21 days. Unfortunately, Crimson has faced more hardship after her admission, resulting in her transfer to a facility that could provide her with a higher level of care. It is unknown how long Crimson will require professional medical treatment; however, it is expected to be beyond the believed initial 21 days.
The facility where Crimson is receiving treatment is approximately an hour away from home for the family and requires much commuting. At this time, Emmy is still on maturity leave, and Cody has recently started a new job; however, Due to the uncertainty of Crimson's condition and needed treatment, her parents may need to miss work in addition to the medical bills for Crimson's life-saving treatment.
Emmy and Cody are two of the kindest, most genuinely good-hearted people I have ever known. Being blessed with these two individuals as friends (considered family) is one of my greatest privileges. No one should ever have to see their child go through what Crimson is battling, much less these two people.
It is not lost on me that the current economic state for many families and individuals is challenging; however, every share, prayer, positive thought, and donation makes a difference.
