Cricket Extravaganza 2024

We are raising money for Young Leaders In Cricket, Pathway and Highgate Cricket Club ..... and having fun as we go. Thank you for helping us to have a great time and helping great causes in the community.

Saturday 14th September, 11am* – 6pm (approx.)

*Players to arrive by 10.00am

10 a-side Mixed Junior Hardball cricket tournament

Guide Age Range 12-15 year olds

You may register as an individual, as a small group, or as a full team. We will combine individuals and groups to create teams where necessary.

£15.00 donation per person

Everyone who registers to play (and donates) will receive a souvenir drink cup & a team t-shirt.

To register, please make a donation on Go Fund Me.

Then forward your ‘Donation Receipt’ stating the child(rens) name(s), AND their team buddies (if they have a team, small group). Email, What's app, or Text all fine.

This is a Charitable event – additional donations welcome. Profit from the event will be split evenly between:

• Pathway

• Young Leaders in Cricket

• Highgate Cricket Club

Donation buckets will also be available on the day for small change and large notes!

Tournament Rules

Note - where there is a dispute the tournament referees decision is final. Parents may not intervene.

1) Players must arrive by 10:00am ready to play by 11:00am

2) 10 over match - 5 overs in a row from either end. Captains may select which end they start from.

3) 5 ball overs, wides and no balls are not re-bowled until the final over, free hits for every no ball.

4) Maximum 3 people outside the ring during the innings

5) The fielding side has 25 minutes to complete the innings. For every ball remaining after the time allowed, there will be a 2 run penalty. The fielding side will still need to complete the remaining overs.

6) Before each match, the captains of each team should select '5 bowlers' who must bowl at least one over each during the fielding innings. The other 5 in the team will make up the top 5 of the batting order (they may bowl as well)

7) Each team should have at least 1 boy and 1 girl in it as this is a mixed tournament. Players must all have the required kit to compete in the hardball games.

8) We are expecting 4 teams of 10 - everyone will play everyone.

9) 2 points for a win, 1 for a tie, 0 for a loss.

There will be a BBQ during the tournament.

We would like to create a festival ‘Hundred’ atmosphere – if you are able to help with a sound system, for the afternoon please do get in touch.

We would also like adult help to umpire, and score on the day, please let us know.
