Cricket for Everyone!

Hi everyone,

I am delighted to update that I RAN the London Marathon in April 2024. Given my own love of playing and supporting others to enjoy the beautiful game, I am proudly fundraising to equally support the national work of The Lord’s Taverners, alongside raising funds for my own club: Romiley Cricket Club.

The Lord’s Taverners is a national charity, which supports young people with disabilities or with low income, to fully learn and enjoy how to safely play cricket. They have many programmes across the UK, where children’s lives are vastly improved by participating in team sports.

Romiley Cricket Club is my local club. My son has played throughout their junior training program, and is now playing for the U15s. I also play for the ladies team. Subscriptions at our local club are kept at a reasonable price. The club also subsidises Winter Nets Training for all age groups.

Having witnessed the benefits of being part of my local cricket family, I will strive to fundraise as much as I possibly can. This will help as many young people as possible to enjoy the magic of being part of a team, and learn the skills of batting, bowling, and fielding, to play at the best level they can.
