Our home was broken into  and my car was stolen from in front of my house right after Christmas while we were out of town visiting family. They trashed our house, took many valuables that cannot be replaced, and stole a set of car keys which had a key for each car. They stole my Honda Civic and they also have a key for our Honda Fit.

The renters' insurance will not cover rekeying the car and the auto insurance will not cover rekeying the car because the car was not physically stolen. I cannot park my car in front of the house without worrying that it will be stolen because they have a key to it, but we can't afford to get it rekeyed out of pocket.

They will also not be able to pay for everything that was taken as placing monetary value to everything was stolen and proving ownership of things owned for years is difficult, even with photos and serial numbers in some cases.

Having to watch my son cry because his favorite piggy bank was smashed against a wall and all of his money stolen was completely heartbreaking.

This is a most desperate time for our family and we appreciate all of the prayers and support. Thank you so much for everything.
