Hi everyone, I am fundraising for a close friend who recently got into a severe car crash. On the morning of October 5th my close buddy Christian Chaffin got into a severe vehicle accident while driving to a work sight in Bagley MN. Christian fell asleep while driving down the road, He then crashed his truck and was ejected from the vehicle. He suffers with burns on his arm, a broken femur (that needs to have surgery and physical therapy), a break in his spine (that will also need physical therapy), bruised lungs (that needed oxygen therapy, and also short term memory loss (due to the trauma). Christian was found laying on the side of the road, then was later rushed in an ambulance to the Bemidji Emergency Room. Christian made it though surgery surgery yesterday for his broken femur, everything went great. Christian has a long road to recovery but his friends and family are here to help him get through it.

Christian Chaffin is a very talented young man. He is 18 years old. He enjoys hanging out with friends, working on his truck, roping, hunting, and fishing.

Christian has blood pockets on his lungs. This is because of the bruising on the lungs. More intense breathing therapy has been needed to prevent pneumonia. Please keep sending prayers! Thank you all!

UPDATE! 10/15/2023
Christian was finally taken off of oxygen earlier this week! The hospital released him to go home and be with his family ❤️ He will continue breathing exercises at home for his bruised lungs. He has to be in a hospital bed at home. He will have home health come to his home for physical therapy. Christian needs around the clock care. He has a long road to a full recovery He will wear a back brace for at least 3 months for his broken back and an unknown amount of time for his leg brace. It’s unknown at this time on how long he will have to have physical therapy but at this time, it is needed 3 days a week. It will be months before Christian will be able to return to work. He will continue with the many dr follow-up appointments for his burns, lungs, broken leg and back. We praise God that he is alive! He is a true miracle.
