UPDATE FEBRUARY 2023 We Did It! Woo Hoo!

Hi, I'm AJ (they/them) and I am trying to raise money to cover the expenses for the top surgery I am having in 2023 at the Gender Confirmation Clinic here in San Francisco. After a two year search to find the perfect doctor, my insurance has denied the $10k procedure because it is "cosmetic". So now I will be using my savings and I need help with the other half.

 

You might be getting this because you know me as a San Francisco muralist, or my fat liberation advocacy work, or my executive assistant roles across the city (if you know me from my theatre days, I am so sorry). I am non-binary and really need this surgery to feel safe and happy in my body and it could not be further from "cosmetic".
