Support Amanda's Family After Loss

I’m Amanda and my brother, sister, and recently lost our mother. After being hospitalized for a few weeks with some kind of infection, we thought she was in the clear and was sent to rehab for physical therapy. After a few of rehab, she got sick again and was readmitted. She was talking and feeling okay the first day of the admission and gradual started feeling worse. On Tuesday I got a call saying she was intubated that morning and had declined significantly overnight. I didn’t realize how bad it was until they finally let me see her. They couldn’t keep her blood pressure up despite 3 vasopresser drips running and the ventilator was breathing for her. Despite the treatment they were giving she got worse and worse as the day went on. She passed peacefully Wednesday morning with her children, and granddaughter, and sister by her side. She didn’t have life insurance or anything preparations done for the funeral ahead of time due to only being 53 years old. My family doesn’t have a lot of money to help.
