Our friend and colleague Jeff Taylor is facing a serious health battle. Jeff has spent 40 years working as a Director of Photography on sets across Las Vegas and beyond — the kind of crew member who shows up, does the work, and never makes the day about himself. He's been diagnosed with cancer, and treatment has made it impossible for him to work.
Anyone who's worked with Jeff knows he's a straightforward guy who keeps to himself and handles things on his own. This is one of those times when even the strongest need support.
Without the ability to work, Jeff is falling behind on everyday expenses — bills, groceries, and basic living costs. Earlier fundraisers in our local Vegas crew community helped carry him through the first stretch of treatment, but his needs have outpaced what our immediate circle can cover. We're opening this one up to the wider crew network nationwide.
Most of us in this industry are one bad diagnosis or one bad accident away from being in Jeff's position. There's no studio safety net for working crew. It's us looking out for each other, or it's nothing.
If you're able to give, even a small amount will go a long way. If you can't donate, sharing this with your crew, your local, your group chats — that means just as much.
Let's help Jeff get through this the same way we'd want someone to help us.
Thank you.
