Hi! We are young filmmakers and actors looking to secure funding for our short film, "What It Takes to Make You Leave". The film captures the struggles of Tanisha and Dan, a couple, through an argument they're having during a night out. Dan is going through an extremely difficult time, battling severe mental health issues following his father's suicide. Tanisha is attempting to support him and push him to get help, but she is met with constant resistance and hurtful behavior from Dan. She realizes through their argument that sometimes, you can't save someone from drowning without being dragged down yourself.

We want to produce this film because we are eager to be involved in a project to which we feel a personal connection. The film highlights the cyclical nature of suffering, the way trauma repeats itself, and the complexity of trying to help someone who doesn't want to be helped. We believe it's important to capture these ideas in media, as it might help someone else in a similar situation realize when it's time to walk away. We are very passionate about mental health and its impact on interpersonal relationships.

The funding would go towards making sure the crew is fairly taken care of in terms of food, transportation, and other necessities/equipment. Any help would be much appreciated! We just want to look after our amazing crew <3
