As most of you know Cresencio Arceo Sr. was assaulted the evening of Sat November 7th in Grand Island and it led to him being in critical condition in ICU. He had a brain bleed and 2 skull fractures, and ended up in emergent surgery early Sunday morning on the 8th to release pressure on his brain because it was swelling more than they had hoped. A de-compressive craniotomy. He has had some ups and downs over the last few weeks. He is fighting pneumonia on top of everything else and had to be sedated in order to let his body rest and do a few procedures to help clear his lungs. It looks that his lungs are clearing up over the last week and they have started to go down on sedation and to see how his body is responding to the trauma. They are helping his blood pressure along with medications, but hope is with time he will become more responsive. He has started a long recovery process and is still on the ventilator but we all hope they can start the weaning him off of that soon.
That being said it was his off season and he was training horses and did not have insurance at this time. If anyone would be interested in helping Linda, Cresencio, and the children with the financial aspects of it while they all are trying to take turns spending time with him, it would be appreciated. Covid-19 has made it hard for them to go see him because they can not go in as family. Though it is a blessing to go in one at a time to see him because most facilities are not allowing visitors.
Prayers are appreciated for him and the family. He is a fighter and we hope he will over come this with all the love and support!!
