Cremation Service for Richard “Rick” Potter

UPDATE: Carl, Phoebe and myself want to thank you all for sharing and donating and offering helpful advice while we navigate this process. Through combined efforts of these donations, selling items and research on more cost friendly facilities we were able drop the cost and pay for the cremation as Richard “Rick” requested.

Hi, my name is Corina and I created this fundraiser to help Carl Potter raise funds for a cremation services for his father, Rick Potter, who has recently passed away.

The following is from Carl:

Dear friends,

As many of you know I don't like talking during funerals or memorial services. I'm usually too busy still processing my loss to feel like I can add something comprehensible to others. Times like this are not my wheelhouse, please bear with me.

The past few years my dad's health has been in decline. I watched as his weekly lawn mowing came from a casual morning or evening ritual to a two day effort that he stopped insisting he do himself and started asking me to do for him instead.

My father wasn't a man of great means, and he certainly wasn't under any impression that I was and it is in that spirit that I'm asking for your help in covering the cost of his cremation.
