Hello,

Our Dad, Larry Wayne Beckham (aka Cereslee), passed away 7/16/2025 @7:10pm. He was 72 years old.

Dad suffered a multitude of health problems most of his adult life.

He suffered from Heart Afib, COPD,

Venous Status, he was post stroke, and he had diabetes. He recently was hospitalized with Septis, Pneomothorax, then Pneumonia over the course of the last 8 months, after a routine procedure to have a kidney stone removed. Then he was sent home on May 23, 2025. He should have never been sent home. He could not transfer easily from wheelchair to bed and he seemed very confused most days. He was determined to regain his independence but he was no longer able to deny that he needed 24/7 care. We started working with hospice care and APS in Austin, Texas.

Finally we were able to convince

Dad that he needed to be near family. I was able to get him placed in a nursing facility in Arlington, near us, and he was transported from Austin just a week ago. We are heartbroken and really never expected him to go so quick :( Dad had no life insurance. Even more awlful, in the past 8 months there was a caregiver, that he had for years, in Austin, who stole money from him. There is so so many parts to this whole life event. But right now the immediate need is giving Dad a proper end of life. He wished to be cremated. Coming up with the extra funds to fulfill this is difficult and we need help.

Update 7/24/2025

Dad's cremation has been paid for. I also got a beautiful urn in honor of him. Now I must continue to pay on his storages and other expenses I am left responsible for. But the most important thing was getting the cremation. I do wish to continue to raise funds to assure a way to get the continued expenses paid until I am caught up financially or perhaps to find a way to have a memorial in his honor.
