Cremation and Transport for my Dad, Mark

Hi, I am Shelisa Thomas. My dad (58) recently passed away due to natural causes. I am creating this fundraiser to help offset the cost of his cremation, transport of him and his belongings back to Indiana from Florida and celebration of life. He did not have life insurance to help offset the costs or money saved up, and I am solely responsible for bearing the costs of his untimely passing.

My dad was my best friend my entire life and he will be missed deeply. He is survived by me (32), his other daughters Arianna (15) and Abigail (8) and Candice (30), and his sons Greg (37) and TJ (31). He is also survived by 3 grandkids: Marquis, Izaak and Rachael.

Most people have known my dad to be an upstanding citizen who was always bending over backwards to help people, whether with their cars, living arrangements, money, food, education and more. He was an ASE certified mechanic for nearly 40 years and taught many boys and young men how to work on cars and how to be an entrepreneur. He tried to make sure everyone close to him always had a place to lay their head at night regardless of circumstance.

He enjoyed traveling around Florida in his RV that I bought him a few years ago after he retired. He had a love for fishing and cars and his kids.

I am asking for help in raising this money because his cremation is approximately $6500; I have to transport his RV, truck and other personal belongs which is going to cost upwards of $6500; and I also have to cover his celebration of life which I expect will run in excess of $2000. All help is truly appreciated. Any money raised in excess of the requested amount will be split between his children. Thank you.
