Cremation and Funeral Costs for Stevi Crothers
Donation protected
My little sister was a light in anyone who knew her’s life. She was an amazing, considerate, brilliant woman who embodied only the best qualities and spent her time helping people.
She struggled with addiction for most of her life but turned sober for 21 months. In those, she worked tirelessly to help other recovering addicts beat their addictions. She had been homeless and living in motels for years but worked hard to establish herself while sober, including getting two full time jobs, an apartment, and a car. She rekindled relationships with family and friends, and had so many goals and aspirations for her future. We finally had her back. She was the happiest she had ever been.
Unfortunately, shortly after her 21 months, she relapsed. On April 5th, 2020, Stevi overdosed and was found unresponsive. She had died.
My sister didn’t have many belongings and had no life insurance. Our father is retired and our mother lives off of social security. We don’t have the funds to cremate her and give her the beautiful funeral she deserves.
She died during the Coronavirus pandemic, which means our family and friends can’t be together to grieve or bury my sister. We have to wait and grieve alone until the stay at home orders are lifted to be able to give her what she deserves and properly grieve her. As I’m sure you can imagine, this adds another painful obstacle to our family.
My parents, brother, and I are asking you to donate anything you can to help us during this difficult time. We hope to bury her in Pacific View Cemetery in Newport Beach so she can be buried close to other family members.
We are hoping to have her funeral in June 2020.
Please be patient with us if we move our fundraising goal. We are still adding more costs.
Thank you,
The Crothers and Kline Family
