Cremation & Memorial Costs for Matthew Byars

Our wonderful friend Karen has found herself in the unbearable position of losing her 24 year old son Matthew who had successful heart surgery to replace a valve due to a genetic disorder. Matthew awoke from the surgery and was speaking with the nurses in ICU when he quickly and unexpectedly went into cardiac arrest.


The loss Karen has suffered is beyond belief. Four years ago she lost her daughter Sarah, due to complications of several health issues, including the same genetic disorder as Matthew. Karen also lost a brother and her Mother in the past year.


Karen has always been a hardworking Mom who managed to bring much strength and joy to her family. They shared many happy times together.


Matthew and Sarah have a brother Daniel. He loved his brother and sister dearly and they loved him. Life will not be the same for him either.


We would like to help Karen finance Matthews cremation, small family funeral (result of COVID 19) and future Celebration of Life. We would also like to ensure that Karen and Daniel have the funds available to receive whatever grief counselling they may want.


Due to COVID 19 we are unable to be with Karen in the way she needs us right now. This virus has left many of us in precarious financial circumstances as well. If you are not in a position to help financially, it is understandable. If you are, please help our friend.
