Here is a short story about a sweet baby boy. His name is Creedence Ridge Weant. He was born January 14th, 2020 at 11:46 pm. Things seemed to be fine within the first 24 hours that he was born until the mother and him were about to be released to go home. Within the second night that they stayed at the hospital, the mother Morgan started to notice he was not eating and he was working hard to breathe. The nurse on night shift was certain that he was OK, while the next nurse that came on shift had started noticing the same symptom. Within an hour after they did an X-Ray they were in an ambulance headed to Boise, ID St. Luke's Hospital. They were told and expected that they would give him some medicine to help him breathe, then they would be on there way home. Everybody was wrong. After they arrived to St. Luke's in Boise, ID they had to give him an IV and run multiple labs, while giving him multiple other medications. After about two hours of being in the NICU they had a conference with the doctor, within this moment there lives would completely change. The doctor told them Creedence needed to be urgently life flighted to Salt Lake City Utah, to be in Intermountain Primary Children's Hospital. At about midnight that same night Creedence had to be intubated, they then got on a plane and arrived to primary's around 1:30 am. Having no idea that there baby boy was barely hanging onto life, they told the family he was diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis. Narrowing of the valve in the large blood vessel branching off the heart. The narrowing keeps the valve from opening fully, reducing blood flow to the bode and making the heart work harder. His fetal duct was about to close which would have prevented him from getting oxygen throughout his body. Typically newborns fetal ducts close within 48 hours and that's the normal, but in Creedence's case that duct needed to be open to allow oxygenated blood to reach the rest of his body. After 6 hrs of being at Primary's they decide to take him to the catheter lab and try a balloon stent to pop the aortic valve open. After that procedure was done they the informed the family that it caused a leakage. Meaning in six more days they were going to perform another surgery, called the Hybrid procedure, he was not a candidate for any other procedure at this time. The hybrid procedure is something they were hoping will buy him enough time to grow. They then had to open up his chest, put bands on his pulmonary arteries and place a stent in his pda duct, creating a better blood-flow pattern through his heart and body while protecting his lungs. With all that being done they were then informed with his diagnostics, the best thing for him would be a heart transplant. After 3 long weeks in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, trying to get his oxygen need cut in half to trying to wing him off all the narcotics. They finally ended up in the CSU, where Creedence will now be waiting as inpatients to get the gift of life. All of these events have happened from trying to get his withdrawal symptoms under control, to trying to get his fluid balance retained, labs everyday, blood transfusions and echos being done continuously. After all of this Creedence was able to finally return home to Mountain Home, ID. After returning home Creedence has had daily in home care from nurses. But on August 12th, 2020 things turned for the worse again. Creedence hasn't been feeling good the last few days so his mother Morgan took him into the doctors. They sadly found some blood on the brain, and more complications with his heart. It is also believed he had a stroke but not exactly sure when. They're currently trying to figure out what could have caused it. But I have to say he's quite the fighter because he sure is have a rough start. Morgan and Wyatt have two other kids in Mountain Home, ID that are being well taken care of by family through these hard times. While Morgan and Wyatt were in SLC Wyatt found a temporary job doing construction until March 16, 2020. After the risk of more covid-19 virus. Wyatt is also a volunteer firefighter in Swan Valley, ID for the summer wildfire season. So strange and hard times mixed with complex medical needs has made it extremely difficult for Creedence. We pray that Creedence stays in a strong spot and fights everyday. He has so much support from his wonderful parents, grandparents, family, and the community. This has been setup to help the family cover over $100,000 dollars in medical debt. Also to cover the cost of a car for Morgan and Wyatt. It will also help with travel expenses. The family has asked us at Roosters "N" Chicks Lawn Service to handle all donations. If you would like to donate another way you can always get a hold of AJ 2085905561, Jeff Hobbs 2085980946, or Billie Brendlinger 3526509893. One of us would be glad to meetup with you. Thank you everyone so much for your support.

UPDATE FROM CREEDENCE MOM MORGAN: So they were able to work on his original heart by doing a procedure call the Ross Cono before they left SLC. He will be able to live this way with a few more heart surgery's if it continues to go well. Then they might take him off the heart transplant list. Also so the doctors thought he had a stroke but last night thankfully they found out he did not have a stroke as they had thought. Also Wyatt works as a full time seasonal forest firefighter now in Driggs, ID. Thank you and I will continue to give updates as they come into me.
