Whether you knew her for her lively banquets, amazing cookies, or her compassionate heart, you know that Mrs. Credgington spent a lifetime in the service of others. As Director of House for the Annie Wright School, she dedicated her 26-year career to enhancing the experience of private education. Infusing her own sense of class and professionalism, Karen delighted in providing daily meals, hosting dinner parties, and adding to the memories of countless students, faculty, and guests. “Mrs. C’s kitchen” was a place of community where everyone belonged; where you could always find a caring ear or sneak a of couple cookies.
Throughout her retirement, Mrs. Credgington continued to support the school that she loved and connect with friends, former students, and others from the AWS community past and present. She often said that, “Education is the one thing that no one can ever take away from you.” It is in that spirit that we ask for your donations to help memorialize this treasure of person. Funds raised will help establish an appropriate memorial (either physical or scholarship) in Mrs. Credgington’s name to honor her profound love of education.
Funds and memories are being collected by Karen's son, Alex Credgington, on behalf of the family. If you would like to share reflections, stories, or other thoughts, or make a donation outside of GoFundMe, please email [email redacted].
On behalf of the entire family, we thank you for your donations and kind thoughts.
