Our Mission
We are embarking on an extraordinary journey to capture and celebrate the rich history of the Windrush Generation. Our goal is to bring together a diverse group of young people to create a unique and dynamic performance that honors the voices and experiences of those who made the monumental journey from the Caribbean to the UK between 1948 and 1971. We believe that the stories of the Windrush Generation deserve to be told and remembered in vibrant, powerful ways.
Why We Need Your Help
To make this dream a reality, we need your support. We aim to raise £25,000 to fund our project, which will include:
- Workshops and Training: To equip our young participants with the skills to interview, research, and understand the Windrush experience.
- Interviews and Research: To gather first-hand accounts from the Windrush Generation and their descendants, ensuring their stories are told authentically.
- Creative Development: To transform these stories into an exciting production featuring dance, poetry, rap, circus skills, and songs.
- Production Costs: To cover the costs of vendues, equipment, costumes, and other essentials needed to bring our vision to life.
- Community Outreach: To ensure the final production reaches a wide audience, celebrating the Windrush legacy and educating future generations.

- Songs: Original music pieces celebrate the rich cultural contributions of the Windrush Generation to British society.
