Creative Internship @Lippe Taylor

Hi! My name is Brie-Yun Burrell and I attend Davidson College ‘23. I have spent the last three years working as a graphic designer at the Hurt Hub@Davidson as well as pursuing freelance opportunities. I spent the fall of 2021 in Copenhagen, Denmark studying graphic design from an international perspective. I’ve fallen in love with using art as a tool for both marketing and story-telling.

I recently accepted the opportunity to join Lippe Taylor as a creative intern this summer. Lippe Taylor is a public relations and digital marketing agency located in Lower Manhattan. The agency has many notable clients including Mucinex, Proactiv, and Revlon. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to further hone my skills as a designer and learn more about the industry.

However, the cost of living in NYC is extremely expensive; Housing costs are at an all-time high. The amount I will make interning at Lippe Taylor is not enough to cover room and board for the duration of my internship. It would be absolutely heartbreaking to have to pass up an opportunity like this, especially when there is a chance I could be offered a full-time position in the future.

I am a first-generation college student from a small rural community in Florida and this opportunity is a dream come true! I would greatly appreciate any help and I cannot wait to be in the position to help others in the future.
