This GoFundMe page is for Ariel and Avery Enders. After lots of prayers and many discussions, they have both finally agreed to allow us to tell their story.
They were high school sweethearts and after a couple of years apart they found their way back together in 2012. They both agreed to finish college before marrying so they could focus on their careers. Knowing they wanted to buy a house and start a family immediately they agreed to forego a huge wedding and went with a small cruise wedding in June of 2019. They planned to have kids before they were 30. The plan every young couple thinks is the normal way to go. So in October 2019, they started their journey of trying to have a family. They did not anticipate having any issues conceiving. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Their simple dream of starting a family has turned into a long emotional journey.
Going public has not been an easy decision for them because they are both very private people. But they hope and pray telling their story will bring them the miracle they seek.
Full Story:
Ariel visited with her OBGYN regularly. She started with 3 months of fertility medication with monthly lab work. After no success, she was referred to her first fertility specialist. The fertility specialist started with several months of additional fertility medications and bi-weekly labs. An HSG procedure (Hysterosalpingography) where everything was clear and her doctor found no issues. After 3 “heavily” medicated IUIs, countless tests, and 3 more months of additional medication with monthly labs and still no success. Her doctor diagnosed her with unknown infertility.
During this time Ariel lost her beloved father who told her he couldn’t wait to be a grandpa. This loss affected her deeply since she had always been her Daddy’s Girl and now he was gone. They both decided to take a year off to get mentally, emotionally, and physically healthier. Hoping all the research she had done on infertility would help. They decided they would move forward with building their dream home and put fertility on the back burner. Both started eating “cleaner”; exercising more; losing weight; switching to “clean” personal products and “clean” home products (organic, vegan, natural products that don’t have hormone-disrupting chemicals) and kept trying the old fashion way to have a baby while making all those changes. After all these changes and still no baby they decided to seek a second opinion with a second fertility doctor they heard had a high success rate. They went for a consultation visit and scheduled a scope procedure. During the procedure they found out Ariel has scar tissue from unknown issues and her tubes are completely blocked, if she were ever to conceive naturally it would be an ectopic pregnancy and could potentially be life-threatening for her. After all of the above with numerous appointments, medications, tests, labs, and thousands of dollars spent. Not including the mental, physical, and emotional toll all this has taken on not only Ariel, but Avery as he has to sit back and watch the woman he loves go through so much. After trying nearly everything these last 4 years, they are resorting to IVF. They will have to pay for everything out of pocket because nothing is covered by insurance. As the Nana of any future grandbabies, I know they will have, I am asking for your help.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this long post and for all the support you give them.
