Hi! My name is Jess and I’m a middle school social worker with a deep passion for uplifting the next generation of Black girls. I run an after-school empowerment club for Black girls in grades 6–8 — a safe, affirming space where our students are encouraged to show up boldly, celebrate their identity, and grow into confident young leaders.
This group was created because our girls deserve more than just to be seen — they deserve to be celebrated, supported, and given opportunities to thrive.
We’re raising funds to help this club grow and continue making an impact in our students’ lives. Your support will help us:
• Purchase supplies for activities like vision boards, journaling, self-care kits, and more
• Host workshops centered on self-love, confidence, sisterhood, and leadership
• Take field trips that expand our students’ horizons and create joyful memories
• Provide transportation for students who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend due to lack of access to a school bus
• Organize events that honor and celebrate our girls as the powerful young queens they are
This club is often the highlight of their week. It gives them a space where they can breathe, be heard, and know they’re not alone. But none of this is possible without community support.
Thank you so much for supporting this mission. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your network.
