Hello there!

My name is Aaron Huang and I am a Life Scout from Troop 150 in Cedar Park, TX. I'm currently working on my Eagle Project, which will put me one step closer to my goal of being an Eagle Scout once complete. I will be leading a project that will build a "tree-hugging" bench (wraparound bench) around a precious Heritage Oak Tree along with 4 additional benches to be placed around the tree.

As someone who's been a lover of the outdoors for as long as I can remember, I can recall an endless amount of times where I would be spending time outdoors without a place to sit. Sometimes, all I want to do is take a seat and enjoy the world around me -- but finding a place to sit is often a problem that not many people talk about but is very pressing and can keep you from being able to do this. My project will allow for a solution to this problem, while also providing good use for the project beneficiary, Live Oak UU Church. Not only will passersby now have a place to sit and enjoy the wonders of simple nature, but this project will also allow for members of the church to participate in thoughtful small-group discussions fueled by the productivity of the peaceful nature around them.

With your support, I will be able to purchase the wood and other necessary materials/supplies (such as screws, wood stain, etc.) to make this project possible. Any leftover funds will be donated to the project beneficiary, Live Oak UU Church.
