My Story:

In July 2026, my life changed completely when I was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). It was a devastating shock to me and my family.

After qualifying as a nurse in 2012, returning to university for my District Nursing specialist degree in 2021, and completing my non-medical prescribing in 2025, I have spent my career caring for others.

MND is a rapidly progressive condition that attacks the nerves, eventually taking away my ability to move, talk, eat, and breathe. There is currently no cure.

While this diagnosis is incredibly heavy, I am determined to make the absolute most of the time I have. My focus right now is entirely on my beautiful family. My husband John and children continue to be my source of strength and joy, I want to surround them with love, reduce their stress, and build beautiful memories that they can hold onto forever.

Where Your Donations Will Go:

I am launching this page to ask for help with two deeply important areas of my life:

Making Precious Memories: I want to spend meaningful, quality time with my family while I am still physically able. Your support will fund special days out, a family holiday, and projects to create lasting keepsakes and memory boxes for my loved ones.

Financial Security & Care: MND brings a lot of unexpected financial strain. Funds will help cover specialized equipment, home adaptations, and medical travel, while also easing the pressure of lost income so my family can focus on being together rather than worrying about bills.
