My name is Erkan Demirbas, a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Lincoln and founder of the Cartoon Creation Centre Network, which includes 35 academics and students from 18 universities.

I am raising funds to turn my analogy based story on the 2008 Financial Crisis into a professional animation. The current short video is unfinished, but the story has already been highly appreciated by many students and academics.

For example, the overfed chicken represents the large number of subprime mortgages given to households, making the crisis easier to understand through a simple and memorable visual story.
