In Loving Memory of Richard Michael Najera

Richard Michael Najera passed away on December 29, 2025, following a long and difficult journey with lung cancer. During his hard-fought battle, Richard valued staying connected to his family, friends, neighbors, his faith, his church, and the people around him.

As his mobility declined, attending Sunday services at Trinity Christian Fellowship Church became increasingly challenging. Walking on his own grew difficult, and he often needed help from family and friends just to enter and exit the building and to get to the restroom. Despite this, Richard continued to come whenever he could, simply because he wanted to be around others, to worship, and to feel the comfort of community.

Richard’s experience highlighted how hard it can be for individuals with mobility challenges to access places that are important to them. This GoFundMe has been created in his memory to help raise funds for necessary accessibility updates at Trinity Christian Fellowship Church. These improvements will make it easier for those who need mobility assistance to access the church safely and with dignity.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to this fundraiser to honor Richard’s life and help ensure that no one is prevented from fellowship or worship due to physical limitations. Your support will help create a more welcoming and accessible space for all.
