My name is Misty, and I believe God has been preparing me for this path for years. I just did not realize it until recently.

With his help and his calling, I earned a culinary degree.

Then, we were called to adopt in which we were blessed with an incredible son named Sam.

After Sam was diagnosed with autism, the Lord then called me into special education in which I left the general education classroom. I spent 15 years total in the public school system as a teacher.

For a long time, all of those pieces of my path did not seem connected. Now I can see that they were all part of the same story.

An opportunity has opened for Mustard Seed Lunch Co. that I know without a shadow of a doubt is the Lord's plan. When I walked through the building, I didn't see just a restaurant- I saw a future for Sam. I saw a place and a future for other individuals with special abilities just like Sam.

My dream is to create a place where Sam and others can thrive, contribute, and belong while serving our community with great food and hospitality. Those who know Sam, know that he will also greet every single person that walks through our doors and will ask them their name and what their favorite sports team is as Sam loves any and all sports facts.

The funds raised will help cover deposits, utilities, equipment, inventory and startup costs.
