How can someone become evil overnight? And what's more, how do you know when someone has changed for good? A re-telling of Poe's classic story,The Tell-Tale Heart, is a one act musical filled with corruption, mistrust, and bloodshed.

SYNOPSIS:

Ellis is a young writer who's escaped to his grandfather's house in Richmond, Virginia for the summer of 1843. Ellis and his grandfather James are incredibly close, and would do almost anything for each other... like Ellis taking care of James through this newest round of gout. The two of them often host a cop named Hartley, and his two underlings, Felix and Leslie.

Unfortunately, their relaxing summer comes to an end when James suddenly goes blind in both eyes. Luckily, one of his eyes regained sight, but the other scarred over and became a pale blue eye of evil. This is the beginning of James's rapid aging, and as he ages, his anger at the world grows. And there's no one else for him to take his anger out on but Ellis.

WHAT WE NEED:

We are trying to hire professional musicians for our show! Many of the students from the Whalen School of Music are trained to ask for paid work. We respect that and would like to pay them!

But we also need:

Props: (fake) human heart, Lamp, blood

Costumes: 1840s period-appropriate costumes

Set Design: chairs, tables, etc.

Make up: stage make up, scar make up, contacts for the 'evil eye'
