Create Lasting Memories for Sharon Robinson

Hello, my name is Steve. I would like to share with you the story of my wonderful, loving spouse and life partner, Sharon Robinson. Sharon always approaches life with enthusiasm and joy, even when she has faced some major health challenges along the way. She now has a very aggressive form of cancer, and her condition is terminal. Although she continues to show incredible strength, grace, and love, we don’t know how much time she has left. She has touched so many of us in countless ways, and we all carry memories of Sharon that will live on forever.

We are collecting donations from friends and family to create a few memorials in Sharon’s honor - while she is still with us - in places that she frequented and loved. We plan to install park benches with plaques at two locations in Bethesda, Maryland – spots where she’s spent time reflecting, laughing, connecting, and living. These benches would be a way for all of us – her loved ones, friends, and even strangers - to pause, rest, and remember the life, love, and kindness she brought into the world.

1. Capital Crescent Trail

This bike path was not only one Sharon rode frequently, but it was also a special place where she mentored and trained many cyclists for Century rides (100 miles in one day!). Sharon and I took our first ride together on this trail, an experience that led to our lifelong partnership.

2. Strathmore Music Center and Mansion Grounds

Literally in the backyard of our home, this was where we enjoyed concerts, events, and walks with our dog Pepper through the natural parkland.

It would mean so much to Sharon to see everyone’s support.
