Create Day 23 - An Art & Technology Experience

My name is London. I'm the founder of Hella Artsy, a community-based organization in Oakland ,CA. In August 2021, I hosted my first Create Day, an event filled with arts & crafts, school supply distributions & community building.

Hella Artsy brings our 3rd annual Create Day! Next year we want to highlight the future intersections of technology and art! This creative experience focuses on bringing underserved youth the pathway to app development, entry-level coding, animation, and all the crafting you can think of! With the help of educators, youth coders, graphic designers, and peer leaders, we will provide youth with modern and futuristic experiences and skills. Our target audience will primarily be low-income Oakland Unified School District students, & families of color.

We are hoping to orchestrate this event in SPRING 2023. We are reaching out for donations in hopes of making this a reality. We are confident that this immersive event will equip our future leaders with the early knowledge to spark an interest in technology.
