Driven by Love House Foundation, an initiative founded by Diana Mui (Principal Designer of d.m.teriors) and directed by Vanessa Lee (President of Lionette NY). As women who have faced the sorrow of losing loved ones to cancer and in Diana's case, personally endured the illness, we were deeply motivated to make a meaningful impact on women and children navigating a similar journey.

Love House Foundation’s mission is to build a loving community united by a shared passion for supporting mothers who are battling cancer. With the power of interior design, our goal is to help enhance their quality of life by transforming their homes into healing sanctuaries.

Meet Jennie:

Initially diagnosed with colon cancer over 8 years ago at the age of 42; Jennie overcame it with the help of extensive treatments and major surgeries. However, in January 2023, she detected a lump in her breast, which unfortunately marked the recurrence of colon cancer, manifesting in a more aggressive form. By April, she received a new diagnosis of stage IV cancer, indicating a life expectancy of under 5 years.

Jennie has always had an incredible zest for life; a quality she has undoubtedly imparted to her 8-year-old daughter, Ariella. With a background in the fast-paced finance industry, Jennie’s condition meant she could no longer return to her career. Instead, she decided to stay at home and dedicate her time to being with Ariella. Her greatest aspiration now is to be present for Ariella’s childhood and to savor the joys of life together.

To improve her quality of life, Jennie is currently undergoing non-curative palliative chemotherapy. Her home has become her sacred oasis; a space where she can rejuvenate after enduring strenuous hours of treatment, a space for her and Ariella to nurture precious new memories that will be etched in their hearts forever.

Our aim is to create a thoughtfully-designed safe haven for Jennie and Ariella by giving their home a complimentary makeover.

Every contribution makes a world of a difference; all donations will go towards the complete renovation and decoration of multiple rooms.
