Meet River.

River has Right Sided Hemiplegia Cerebral Palsy.

Although he is the happiest, most independent little boy you'll ever meet, immediately putting a smile on many peoples faces he struggles with using his right side. His cerebral palsy means he is unbalanced and deals with pain alot of the time. Simple daily things he does use up to 3x as much energy as his peers leaving him often exhausted.

At present he has a AFO for his right foot. However for the last year or so he's been getting gradually worse on his feet, walking less and less and relying on pain medication more.

He's a good solid build and at 4 years old is in aged 5-6 clothes (he's gonna be tall like his Dad!) but that also means he's too big for his pram and too heavy, the frame is beginning to bend!

We asked his paeds GP, Physio and OT for a wheelchair referral for him and his OT declined saying as he's under 5 and CAN walk he can use his pram. They won't listen to us explain his height and weight and reluctance to walk,. especially outside the house on uneven terrain.

His Paeds GP and Physio have agreed to help us with supporting documents for a charity wheelchair if we could find one.

When looking we came across MakeGoods TMT 3D wheelchairs for toddlers.

We applied as it'll help River massively inside the house, hospital appointments (which we have many!) and at nursery (school come September!)

We were so Lucky that Mini Monster Merch picked up our request to 3D print the chair for River! A vetted maker in our home town!

We've been in contact with each other. We've spoken. We've asked River what he'd like!

He would like a bluey chair like the one in the photo (credit to whoever made it, its from the makegood gallery!) and Mini Monster Merch is a company on a mission.

Now, I obviously want to help, I know filament for 3D printers can be costly and I know to make a full chair for River it's going to take a lot of filament, so I'm on a mission to get funds for Mini Monster Merch to help them make Rivys chair.

So this go fund me page is to donate to go to the seller to supply filament for Rivers chair and if we get extra, there's more people who would like chairs making for their littles.
