I'm Julie, and I'll be 73 in a couple weeks. Yesterday, my used car (purchased August, 2022), suffered "catastrophic engine failure " after I had already sunk $5k in repairs into it. I still owe $4700 on it so I can't sell it for parts. I work as a cat sitter to supplement my Social Security, but I can't even do that without a car. Funds raised would be used to pay off the car, and to purchase a used car that will hopefully be in better shape than the last one. I've never had to ask for help before and it's killing me that I can't find another way out of this. So please know that any help you can give will mean more than I could ever express.
