Crash, Bam!

I've never done anything like this before but with all of the good my family has put out in the world, I'm hoping some of it comes back our way.
Back in May during a storm a tree fell and took out our master bedroom, including compromising the structural integrity and the house has been deemed unsafe for occupancy!
Because we couldn't afford homeowners insurance, my elderly mother, disabled husband and I are currently living in a tent in our front yard. It's not just us either! We refuse to abandon or give up our 3 dogs and 2 small parrots. They are as much a part of our family as any human children would be.
Help us beat the heat!
Update July 20, 2023
The hits just keep coming…
Yesterday we received a visit from the Cherryville Code Enforcement Officer, letting us know that the city has received complaints about us camping in the front yard. Because of those complaints and the fact that our property isn’t zoned for a “campground”, we now have 20 days to take down our camp and find a new place to live.
If you or anyone you know has a house we could rent for a short time at a reduced rate we’d love to know about it. It doesn’t have to be perfect, either. We’d be more than happy to clean, paint, and do minor plumbing and electrical repairs and love working outside on landscaping and doing yard work.
All we ask is that the homeowner understands that our pets are our children, and we can’t leave them behind. They’re also our emotional support animals and during this time we need them more than ever.
Thanks for your help and support. It means the world to us and we promise to pay it forward when we’re in a position to do so.
