- Hi my name is Shelby and I'm trying to raise money to help my mom pay for her dog to have Cranial Cruciate Ligament Rupture repair surgery which the surgery alone will cost $7,300. Her name is Mia May and she's been one of the sweetest and best dogs ever and has grown up alongside my daughter, she has been my mom's best friend since her dog Brutus was hit and killed by a cement truck 9 years ago and without surgery the ligament will never fully heal or even really heal properly, It will also be more than likely that her other ligament will rupture within the next year if this one isn't fixed soon enough and as of right now my moms condo is on the second floor so it's been extremely hard getting her up and down the stairs to take her potty. She's currently staying with our downstairs neighbor but we really would like to get her better so she can come home. My mom will also have to miss work to help her recover after the surgery which she really cannot afford to miss. So part of the money would go to making up for her lost time at work. She is currently helping take care of my newborn, my daughter, and I while I get myself back on my feet so I know this is all a lot for her to deal with right now and she really needs the help, she's an amazing mother and I know her dog means the world to her so anything helps right now. My mom has already scheduled this surgery due to the fact that it needs to be done as soon as possible and with her faith she figured where there is a will there is a way.
